In Memoriam
Robert L. Diffenderfer (1931-2022) sang first tenor and served as the Chorus treasurer from for nearly 60 years. He always had a smile and laugh at the ready, even if we sang from the back of Gospel Quartets. He last sang with the Chorus in 2022.
Larry L. Sellers (1947-2022) was an incredibly faithful part of the Chorus. He began singing–along with his twin brother Garry, who still sings–second tenor as a very young man in 1962. He served many years as president and vice-president of the group. He last sang with the Chorus at practice in 2022.
A. Lloyd Brubaker (1945-2022) sang baritone and was the assistant director of the Chorus. He last sang with the Chorus in 2021. His extensive familiarity with a cappella signing was a great asset to the group.
Wayne W. Goodling (1922-2020) sang bass and served many years as president and vice-president of the Chorus. He rebound by hand many of our copies of Gospel Quartets. Wayne began singing upon his return home from WWII in 1947 and was devoted to the group for the remainder of his life. He last sang with the Chorus in 2019, spanning 73 seasons with us.
Louis R. DiGiulio (1924-2018) was assistant director.
Donovan E. Diffenderfer (1934-2016) sang bass in his second stint with the Chorus. He joined the group in the 1950s before life took him far from Bunkertown in ministry. In his retirement, he rejoined us and sang until 2016.
Thelma I. (Leister) Fogleman (1921-2016) was the original pianist for the Chorus, when she was only 12. She last played for the group in the early 2010’s, assisting in practice.
Jay M. Heisey (1930-2016) was assistant director of the Chorus and sang baritone.
