SING!

“Speak to one another with the words of psalms, hymns, and sacred songs; sing hymns and psalms to the Lord with praise in your hearts.” Ephesians 5:19, Good News

The Bunkertown Men’s Chorus was founded with the mission of sharing the Gospel in song. Our theme song, “Let the Lord Have His Way,” embodies this vision: “Let the Lord have His way, in your heart every day. There’s no peace, there’s no rest, ’til the Lord has His way. Place your life in His hands, rest secure in His plans. Let the Lord, oh, let the Lord have His way.” For nearly 90 years, the Chorus has provided encouragement in song to church and community events.

The Chorus meets for practice at Good News Lutheran Brethren Church in rural McAlisterville (Cocolamus) on the 2nd and 4th Monday night from March to October. We sing–usually on Sunday evenings–up to twice per month throughout the year. When we are together, we enjoy fellowship and laughter as we work toward this mission.

If you are a man who endeavors to follow Jesus and enjoys singing, maybe you should consider joining us. We comprise an ecumenical group, of diverse backgrounds but united in the Good News of salvation through the work of the cross. If you’d like to check out the Chorus, please contact us for more information. Current members hail from Juniata, Snyder, Perry, Lebanon, and Cumberland counties. Many men have been part of this ministry through the decades, learn more about them here.
